Notes
- Farkels - A derogitory name we use to describe ourselves and Tara's other family when we are participating in a family activity that goes awry. Usually used in a scentence that also describes the botched activity, for example: "The Farkle Family(Farkles) has Thanksgiving"
- Emetophobia - Fear of vomit or vomiting
- Ahn-Veryl-Diss - Adj used to describe anything that produces extreme discomfort, mortal peril, severe spontaneus incontinence, or any unpleasentry that is verly dissful.
Tara, her sister Traci, and myself car-pooled for the enjoyment of each other's company as well as the convenience of a shared pool of cost for the gas we most assuradley would need to propel the car, as we discovered nearly too late that an unshakable belief in magic and mastery of rockband alone could not budge the greedy metal bulwark forward. Reverse still worked fine.
Enough of petrol and bulwarks.
The retirement party and the lead-up was great fun, I never knew I had so many neices and nephews, I had a great time with them the other in-laws. But those events will be chronicled by Phelps and/or Traci at a latter time, for my part I have been asked to record the events of our journey home, that trial by ice, that odessy of terror into glacial heart of Idaho.
Hehe - Now I'm gonna leave you on a cliffhanger after you wasted all that time reading the build-up! I'll post the rest of the story in Part II at a later time.
Grr! Why? oh Why? must you leave it as a TBC! I think we've been waiting long enough! I want to know what happened. Did they make it home alive??!
ReplyDeleteAlso, I think you should post your boys' pictures up, so everyone can see your handy work. ;) What cute boys...
ReplyDeleteHar har, I almost threw my monitor through my window in frustration when you left the story just at the exciting point. If I didn't already know how the story ends, my monitor would be in the front yard and I would be having a drafty night's sleep (on the back porch)
