Meg turned 8 on July 2nd. I can't believe she is that old! We celebrated her birthday on Saturday July 4th. It was a lot of fun.
Moo, Traci, and the girls all came over to our house and we had a BBQ. Steve is becoming a grill master. He is one of the best BBQ-ers I have ever experienced delicious food from.
Meg wanted Cheese hot dogs so we got those and regular hot dogs. Teed and I were just finishing our diet so we had beef and veggies. We also bought Megs favorite chips and I made a really good pistachio salad.
After dinner we played pin the tail on the donkey and opened presents. Meg got a ton of stuff from Grandma Moo. She got two police play sets, a whoopy cushion, several little other things and coal stop for a Thomas the train set. We got her a transformer and the James train to go along with the coal set. Traci and the girls got me this really cute hippy hobo bag. I love it. I use it almost everyday. After presents we had delicious cherry cake that Traci had made and shaped in the form of Superman's cape. It looked and tasted really good.
After cake we went into the circle and did fireworks. We had some sparklers left from last year and then we went and bought a small collection of fountains from smiths. They were not very good though. Next year we will buy from a stand. You get much better fireworks and for about the same price.
We still had the decorations up from my birthday and that Steve put up so we left those up for Meg. After everyone left Steve and I cleaned up.
