Fearnet and AMC started doing their Halloween scary movie marathons and we enjoyed watching the classics like Friday the 13th 1- however many their are, Halloween 1-however many there are, several haunted house movies, and other slasher films. It was awesome!
We also got to welcome into the family a new nephew Cael Allen Swenson was born on Tuesday October 12th, the day after the baby shower and is one of the cutest babies I have ever seen! He was 6lbs when he was born and is soo sweet and soo little. :)

Brinn turned six and we got to celebrate a Birthday Party with the family which was soo fun. We got to see Brinn and Meg's cute costumes. Meg was a Gothic rag doll and Brinn was a little dalmatian. Unfortunately we ate the cute and delicious spider cake that Traci made and chocolate ice cream right after she put it on...as you can guess the costume didn't survive the deliciousness. The day before at her friend party they played pin the stem on the jack o' lantern and other fun Halloween themed games. So fun!!
Next we went to a fun Halloween party at Teenie and Logans on Friday the 29th. Steve dressed up as an undead mad scientist and I went as a Bee thanks to the generosity of my work for letting me borrow the butt and feet of the Ninja Bee Mascot. My original costume, a Nurse from silent hill, looked awesome. We had the nurses outfit and shoes all finished and I was starting on the mask. Steve suggested I try it on and unfortunately it didn't fit...so next year I already have my costume mostly done woot!
Since we live in Utah Saturday was pretty much Halloween. We got the fog machine and music all set up, busted out the candy bars, yes full sized candy bars and got ready. Steve dressed up as the Grimm Reaper and I painted my face and put bones in my hair I was Oooga Booga! Then we waited for the trick r treaters and watched a Halloween marathon on tv.
Our reputation for being the house to hit for the big candy bars and a scare is going around. When we went out to scout for trick r treaters we over heard some say, " sweet this is the house with the big candy bars." One of our neighbors was scared to come over cause she thought Steve was going to jump out at her. Even not waiting next to the door out front we scared a few Trick r treaters. One cute little lady bug and her friends wouldn't come up the drive way. When I took the candy out to them she said, "Your House is Mean" We also had several people jump and step back when we opened the door so that was a lot of fun.
We had a lot of fun and can't wait to celebrate next year. :)
