Ohio Trip

This year was an exciting year in the Swenson house hold. Steve's older brother Matthew (Thew) graduated from medical school. We were able to go with Steve's parents and two siblings, Lennie(Fin)and Mike(Boy)to Ohio for the graduation.

It was a lot of fun. Getting there was not so good for Steve though. He is terrified of flying. Our first plane we were in wasn't too bad. Steve took the meds prescribed by our doctor (I think it was Zanax) and had one an hour before take off and then another one on the plane. The second plane was a small one and was a bit more bumpy of a ride. Steve had a hard time on this one but we survived and made it there safely.

It was really fun to see Thew and his family. We got to see their new baby Hyrum. He was born in December and we got to play with Kate and Cole and visit with Jenny. We did a lot of stuff while we were there.

We had a few BBQ's, ate lots of delicious food, Saw Thew graduate (now we have to call him doctor Thew ;) ), went to the children's Science Museum, It was probably my favorite thing we did on the trip. It was one of the coolest museums I have been to in a long time. In the Underwater section they had this huge statue of Poseidon. It was really neat.

We also went on a nature walk at one of their several parks in the area. It was a really pretty hike with lots of amazing trees. The architecture there was gorgeous and I loved loved the trees.

Thew and Jenny are staying there for one more year while Thew does his first year of residency and then they are off to Alabama for the next three years where he will finish it up.

It was a really fun trip. We had a great time seeing everyone but it was really nice to come home and see our boys. We missed them very much.
